Introduction to Tantra
Half Day Course
In-Person at Buddha Land, Keighley & Livestreamed Online
Saturday 26 June, 10am – 1pm
(available for 48 hours after on catch up)
Tantra uses meditation and visualization to let go of negativity and to create a pure experience. Learn about the extraordinary practices of Tantra and how to move beyond ordinary perceptions and ideas.
Buddha’s tantric teachings and meditations are all about taking charge of your own mind and steering it in powerful and meaningful directions.
Buddha explained how our world does not exist from its own side: like a dream world it is mere appearances to our mind. When our mind is impure, our world is impure but when our mind becomes completely pure through Highest Yoga Tantra practice, our world, our self, our activities and our enjoyments also become completely pure.
In this course we will learn to re-imagine ourselves as more loving, more compassionate, and more wise. These colourful, rich, playful and imaginative teachings enable us to use all of our daily enjoyments and experiences as the very means for achieving this.
Day Courses are an ideal way to learn more about meditation and inner peace. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.
The cost of the Half Day Course is £15.00 (GP Centre Card £5, FP member £0).
This course will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin the Resident Teacher of Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre and of Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 20 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.
