Finding Happiness from Within
Day Retreat
@ Bolton Abbey Village Hall, N Yorks
Saturday 9 November, 9.30am – 5pm
In-person
Unwind in the Yorkshire Dales in the first of our 2 days of meditation retreat at Bolton Abbey Village Hall. A day retreat is an ideal opportunity to gain a deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings and have a special experience of inner peace.
The first day of the Retreat, Finding Happiness from Within, will explore meditations that enable us to access and maintain inner peace and joy, even when experiencing difficulties in our life.
The second day, Letting Go and Moving On, will further explore how to recognise and let go of harmful states of mind and replace them with peaceful and beneficial ones.
The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness. But if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions. Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Each day can be attended separately. If you wish to attend both days of the Retreat, there will be a £10 discount.
A packed lunch, refreshments & parking is included in the cost. There will be plenty of time in between retreat sessions, if you wish, to enjoy and relax in the surrounding countryside.
The cost of the day retreat is £36 (Centre Membership Scheme £26) or for both days £62 (Centre Membership Scheme £42).
Our monthly membership programme offers access to all our weekly classes as well as discounts on courses for only £20 per month – Learn more.
