By training in using mindfulness and meditation we can begin to manage and control our emotions such as stress, anxiety and fear.
In these classes we will emphasize easy and practical methods for understanding mindfulness and integrating the practice into our everyday lives.
When we learn how to practise mindfulness in daily life, we will have a special ability to remain inwardly calm and free from stress even in the midst of our busy, modern world. Understanding and practising mindfulness is essential if we want to transform our normally busy minds into the causes of peace and happiness.
This course will be taught by Gen Kelsang Päljin, the Resident Teacher of Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre and of Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley. He is a Buddhist monk with over 20 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.
The Thursday morning class is taught by Kelsang Dra-ma, a student of the Teacher Training Programme at Buddha Land Buddhist Centre, Keighley.

In-person classes have resumed, suitable procedures are in place to keep attendees and teachers safe.
Online classes will continue to run in tandem for the foreseeable future.

Thursdays 11am – 12noon, Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Keighley
Fridays 1pm – 1.45pm, Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Keighley
Fridays 6pm – 7pm, Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Keighley
In-person classes will need to be booked in advance rather than on our usual drop-in basis.
